I have many Makita cordless tools and they get used almost on a daily business on the farm and our construction projects. Here in Arizona 100 degrees is not uncommon and most of the time in the summer hotter. I understand that heat destroys batteries and we have about 6 of them on the bench that will not hold a charge from use.
When we began a search for batteries to replace the wornout ones we were in a situation where the cost of the replacements did not justify the condition of the tools. We have 4 drills, 2 saws and 2 impacts. It is a comfort to find replacement sets that are affordable and allow us to continue to recover the high cost of the cordless tools. With no power in most locations Makita tools have proven to be very durable and reliable.

Exactly what I needed
The Makita 2-3/5 Amp Hour NiMH Pod Style Battery set is exactly what I needed for my Impact Driver and Driver Drill set. The batteries provide me with the amount of power I expect from Makita. I expect the set will last as long as their predecessors.(MAKITA 193176-1 power tool battery)

Great upgrade
Having worn out my original 14.4v red ni-cad batteries, I was reluctant at first to spend the money on these batteries, they aren't cheap. BUT,now that it's been a month or so with them, it's good to see they aren't cheap. I cannot believe the improvement these Ni-mh batteries are over the ni-cads. Even when the ni-cads were new, they can't hold a candle to these ni-mh batteries. Very happy with my investment of these, makes my job easier AND more productive having batteries that last between charge cycles. ( MAKITA BH 9020B battery )

Excellent deal
This is the best price anywhere to be found - essentially 2 batteries for the price of one. When my old batteries died, I couldn't stomach $80+ for one battery at the local Lowes, so I looked around, including the price of having my current ones "rebuilt". These are 2 new batteries, and the price is less than having my old ones rebuilt. The work great. Very satisfied.

The product came within a week. The batteries are new, in original packaging. I charged them and have been using them with no indications that they will not perform like the original batteries. So far this has been a great find.
